5 Things to Do in Vegas During National Comp 2022

National Comp 2022 is an exciting opportunity to learn how to address the evolving challenges in workers comp while networking with the industry’s most influential executives, thought leaders, and fellow attendees.

The CLARA Analytics team can’t wait to attend the industry’s largest national workers’ comp conference. When we’re not talking about how we can move the industry forward together, here’s where you can find us!

1. Vegas Golden Knights hockey game

Perhaps the Strip’s most exciting new entertainment in the last few years is the arrival of NHL hockey, with the Knights making the playoffs for four of the past five years. You can catch them at home on Thursday, October 20 versus the Winnipeg Jets or Saturday, October 22 against the reigning champions, the Colorado Avalanche.

If hockey isn’t your thing but you still want to take in the action, check out The Park Vegas to explore the outdoor dining and entertainment district nestled between T-Mobile Arena, Park MGM and New York-New York.

2. The Neon Museum

Looking for a fun, history-filled outing? Head on over to The Neon Museum. The Neon Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, artistic and cultural enrichment.

You can take a tour of the neon graveyard in an hour or less—perfect for a getaway after a full day of sessions (about 15 minutes from the conference hotel). Pro tip: buy tickets in advance!

3. Shark Reef Aquarium

There’s nothing better than getting back to nature after a long day in the conference center. Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium is home to more than 2,000 animals, including sharks, giant rays, endangered green sea turtles, piranha and a Komodo dragon. You can add on packages to feed the sharks or stingrays for an even more immersive experience.

4. The STRAT Observation Deck

Want to see one of the top-voted views in the city? The Observation Deck at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod is well known as an out-of-this-world experience. Standing at 1,149 feet tall, it is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States.

  • While you’re above the city, experience award-winning cuisine as you take in the amazing views.
  • Or if you’re feeling extra daring, hop on one of these great thrill rides.
  • Looking for some liquid courage? Then head into one of these bars or lounges.

The STRAT is located at the north end of the Strip, about 15 minutes by car from the conference hotel.

5. Booth 437

The top attraction in Las Vegas will definitely be meeting the CLARA team! Visit the CLARA booth (#437) to see how we’re moving the industry forward. You’re not going to want to miss the awesome swag.

Don’t forget to add this session to your agenda: Senior Vice President of Claims at MEMIC Group, Matt Harmon, will be presenting “Evolving into Data Influenced Claim Organization,” sponsored by CLARA. Catch his session on Thursday, October 20 at 10:00 am in National Comp Theater – Bayside B.
